Adventure of the Seas
Taking almost 3 years to build, and at a cost of about $500
million, the ship was completed in 2001 at the Kvaerner Masa yards
in Finland. Launched in January, 2001, her maiden voyage was on 18
November 2001.
The Ship's godparents are Tara Stackpole and Kevin Hannafin of the
New York Fire Department and Margaret McDonnell and Richard Lucas of
the New York Police Department.
